Parylene is a common name for a polymer whose main chain is composed of p-phenylenediyl -C6H4-, connected by a 1,2-ethanediyl bridge -CH2-CH2-. It can be obtained by polymerizing p-xylene -H2C=C6H4=CH2-. Parylene is mainly used for protective coatings in various industries.

Its main applications include:

1.  Electronics: Parylene is often used to coat electronic components and circuit boards to protect them from moisture, chemicals, and other environmental factors that could cause damage or corrosion.

2.  Medical Devices: In the medical field, parylene coatings are applied to devices like implants, catheters, and surgical instruments to provide a biocompatible and corrosion-resistant layer that is safe for use within the human body.

3.  Aerospace and Defense: The aerospace and defense sectors use parylene to protect sensitive equipment and components from extreme environmental conditions and to enhance reliability and longevity.

4.  Optics: Parylene coatings are applied to optical lenses and other components to reduce reflection and improve performance.

5.  Consumer Goods: It's also used in various consumer products, such as watches and smartphones, to provide a durable and protective layer.

Parylene is valued for its uniform thickness, adherence to complex shapes, and its ability to form a thin, continuous, and chemically resistant layer.

FCDTECH has independently developed and produced Parylene products for more than 10 years. Over the years, it has been providing high-quality raw materials for global well-known brand customers. Its main products are:

Parylene AF4:

Parylene AF4 powder has super high temperature resistance, UV resistance, radiation resistance, the highest permeability, the lowest friction coefficient and dielectric constant, can be used at 350℃ for a long time, and the short-term (24 hours) temperature can reach 450℃. It is an excellent material for the protection of various components in aerospace and various extreme weather conditions.

Parylene C:

Parylene C powder combines good electrical and physical properties, and its coating has ultra-low water molecules and corrosive gas transmittance.

Parylene F:

Parylene F powder inherits the UV resistance and high and low temperature resistance of AF4 powder, and the long-term use temperature reaches 200℃.

Parylene DM:

Parylene DM is a unique new member of the Parylene series, combining excellent barrier properties, electrical insulation properties and mechanical properties. It can provide excellent moisture protection and resist corrosive solvents and gases. Its halogen-free characteristics can better meet the needs of industries with particularly high environmental protection requirements.

Parylene N:

Parylene N powder is halogen-free, has good dry lubrication effect and anti-adsorption ability, and has super strong penetration ability and dielectric strength.

UVF (Parylene Fluorescent Powder):

Parylene coatings are difficult to identify due to their good optical transparency. However, Parylene UVF coatings can emit fluorescence under specific light sources, which can be easily and efficiently identified, and the various properties of Parylene UVF are exactly the same as those of the corresponding Parylene coatings.

FCDTECH is committed to continuous innovation to meet customers' diverse needs for protective coatings and provide the best solutions. If you have any questions about our products or need further information, please feel free to contact us.
